1. No Law Firm; No Legal Advice Without Paid Attorney Review.
DocSeed is not a law firm. DocSeed offers attorney-assisted
document review for a fee, performed by licensed attorneys
in its attorney network (see Section 3). Unless you have
purchased and received that paid attorney-review service,
nothing provided through DocSeed constitutes legal advice,
a legal opinion, or legal representation. This includes
the DocSeed website, software, templates, forms, documents,
notary services, customer support, and all other content
and communications. Use of DocSeed does not, by itself,
create an attorney-client relationship between you and
DocSeed.
2. Notaries.
Notaries who provide services through or in connection
with DocSeed act solely in their capacity as notaries
public. They are not acting as attorneys and may not give
legal advice, unless the individual is separately licensed
to practice law and is expressly providing attorney
services in that capacity as part of a paid attorney-review
service. A notary’s separate license to practice law,
if any, does not convert notarial services into legal
services.
3. Paid Attorney-Review Services.
DocSeed offers document-review services performed by
licensed attorneys through its attorney network. These
services are available for a separate fee and are not
included with any other DocSeed service unless expressly
stated at the time of purchase. DocSeed will clearly
identify the attorney-review service before it is provided.
Legal advice is provided only through a paid attorney-review
service, and only by the attorney who performs it.
Purchasing or using an attorney-review service does not,
by itself, create an attorney-client relationship between
you and DocSeed.
4. Independent Attorneys.
Attorneys in the DocSeed attorney network are independent
third-party contractors. They are not employees, partners,
joint venturers, agents, or representatives of DocSeed
or Park Avenue Notary, LLC, and they have no authority
to bind either entity. Any attorney-client relationship
that arises is solely between you and the individual
attorney or law firm providing the legal service. That
relationship is governed by the attorney’s engagement
terms, applicable rules of professional conduct, and
applicable law. DocSeed and Park Avenue Notary, LLC are
not responsible for the legal advice, work product,
acts, or omissions of any network attorney.
5. Your Responsibility.
You are responsible for deciding whether a document
or transaction suits your needs. If you want legal
advice about your particular circumstances, you may
purchase DocSeed’s attorney-review service or consult
a licensed attorney of your choosing in your
jurisdiction.
